Without doubt the best pie I have ever had. Chose the Steak and Ale, which had perfect shortcrust pastry and the filling was top quality beef and full to the brim. A proper home made one for a change. Well reccomended.

We went out for a Sunday lunch at The Aviator, the food was awesome, even though the place was really busy we were made to feel welcome right from the start I would recommend The Aviator to anyone.

I can't review the food, as I've yet to try it - but by the look and smell of everything going past my table it's top quality! My husband and I meet friends there for drinks when we're staying at nearby Hope Orchard.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere, polite hosts and staff, and overlooks the airfield; some really beautiful private planes are spotted daily, and any pilots stopping in for refreshments are only too happy to tell you about the planes they fly, so it's also a learning experience.

La personnal est sympathique. il n'y a pas monde car en semaine, cependant certaines familles viennent avec les enfants pour les avions qui sont vraiment proches, Ciote cuisine...une salade un peu de tout comme on en trouve un peu partout.

We too our two children for lunch as our two year old is plane mad - so an ideal lunch time venue for him!

Despite it being really busy we were able to get a table without pre booking, however those who came in after us struggled! The staff did get some more tables and chairs, which we thought was really goo. I think we would probably book a table next time to avoid disappointment.

The service was OK. a few smiles wouldn't go amiss and the food was good. We will be visiting again.

So happy that we can finally write the review of the Aviator on TripAdvisor.

This pub is a real gem - unpretentious, inviting, ward and homely.

There are always some special deals for food, but even with out them, The Aviator offers great value for money. It is a friendly place and there are baby facilities here. The staff are friendly and welcoming and we keep coming back.

Oh, and did I mention that you can't beet the location if you are a plane spotter or have a three year old that is one ?! :)

"Top class service for a simple setup"

I had heard of it but never been. So when we planned a "wake" I went to have a meal. Not what I expected. The food was piping hot, tasty and more than good value. So a 2nd meal to prove it was a one off gut this meal was even tastier. So we held the "wake" and every single person commented on how good it was. Will be back for sure this time to try a breakfast.

Had business at the Airport and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. What a surprise, food was great, hot and great variety for our group, Meat pies are home made on site which I would highly recommend. Bonus is a great view of the Airport and runways for something to look at while you eat

"Fabulous"

Have visited the Aviator several times and it is a very good no frills establishment. The menu is conventional with plenty of choice and reasonably priced. It is served quickly and is clearly freshly cooked. the staff are very friendly. There is plenty to see outside including helicopters and a wing walker on the day we were there!

 We have visited here with friends to enjoy a drink and watch the planes. The bar staff were super friendly and made us and the child we bought along very welcome. It was great to sit outside and watch the aircraft. the drinks were also very reasonably priced. Next time we will stay for dinner!

Being a Cheltonian I thought that it was about time that I wrote a review regarding the good food and services at The Aviator, Staverton Airport as we know it. I have eaten here many times with my wife. I have brought all my 9 grandchildren here at different times, sometimes after school for an ice cream or drink, it's lovely location on a sunny day you can sit outside and view the airport. The food is good believe me and the staff are friendly and helpful. we recently booked a table for 8, 6 of which people had not eaten there before and they were impressed. 3 had fish and chips,my son-in-law said he wasnt expecting half a whale :) yes its big helpings, the other meals were 2 sirloin steaks (perfect), barbecue ribs and lasagna, they do a veg or beef. Puddings are out of this world :D Loads of parking in the field to the right as you turn right off the road and the toilets are spotless.

Go there and enjoy people 01452 714442. One thing you usually or your drinks and food at the bar but you can also have a table service for everything (drinks ordering etc). This what we did.

We have been visiting for a number of years and it never disappoints. Good, simple pub and excellent value for money.It's a nice venue with a good view of the airport runway etc, If that's your thing. You could easily miss it if you don't know it was there but worth a visit.

Visited with friends and found it to be a pleasant enough place. Most things did feel "cheep" except the food which I was pleasantly surprised about. I would say this is a great value place to go with an interesting view of the airport.

"Good place for a weekend breakfast"

Visited here with a car club for breakfast on Sunday morning. Plenty of parking available close by. Interesting location. From the tables outside you can watch the planes and helicopters making off.

It was quite busy. Service was OK and it took little while for their food to come, gut that was fine as I was chatting with people. The breakfast was good, and the other people seemed to enjoy theirs as well

It is somewhere to go that is a little different due to it's location. I hope to return soon.

We have used the Aviator many times when fund raising for The British Heart Foundation the landlord Richard has always been very helpful and obliging.

It was my daughters birthday on 6th October and as we hadn't visited the Aviator for sometime we decided to go for her birthday meal, I can honestly say it was the best meal we have had out in a long time, everything was piping hot and they even warmed food up we had brought for my 6 month old grand-daughter, the bar staff were very pleasant we will defiantly be returning...

I just can't speak highly enough about the meal & service we received from the staff at The Aviator today 18/2/18, We didn't pre-book and I know Sunday is a busy time for The Aviator,but from the moment we walked in our family of 5 adults and 2 children were made so welcome, from the table service too the meal everything was top notch a lovely roast piping hot and loads of veg, we will certainly be going back....
